Hidy ho neighbours, here’s the weekend update. After finishing the first God Of War on the PS3, I continue on with GOW 2. But after the demo for Uncharted 2 dropped this past Thursday…I stopped by my local video store and rented Uncharted 2. What can I say, they didnt get game of the year for nothing..the game is fantastic..and oh boy, running on rooftops from a killer ‘copter and then later on shooting fun on a moving train….AWESOME.

I never owned a PS2, just have the original Playstation, and a gamecube. I recently picked up the God fo War remastered disc, with both GOW 1 and GOW 2 on it. I absolutely love this game and am impressed it was originally for the PS2. The game is basically a hyper-violent Tomb Raider style game with lots of blood and guts to satisfy. Some of the puzzles ( like trying to find a way out of this giant locked room with a pool, or trying to complete a task before the timer runs out) had me throwing the controller in full blown rage…kidding…although I did yell a lot. Lets just say I stayed in my jammies all day yesterday ripping around Sparta killiing stuff. I also found tim ethis weekend to fianlly watch Transporter 3, it was an ok flick and I do look forward to Frank delivering some other hazardous goods in the future.

Yes I love comics, and have read them on and off as long as I can remember. Nothing beat snagging your favourite characters off the comic rack at the corner store, and racing home to read the 4 color pages cover to cover. Christmas time was the best as a young lad, as Santa usually always filled my stocking with new comics.
I recently read Kick-Ass in anticipation of the new movie, and also read 5 or 6 issues of Batgirl…not the campy one from the 70’s.. the 2000 version…Cassandra Cain.
I was pulled in from the start by Damion Scot’s artful pencil’s as well as her origins….a 17 yr old trained assassin…now if that isnt dark enough for the Dark Knight to handle then I’ll go back to reading Archie. lol.
She has intuitive skills as well as multiple skills in different martial arts, making her almost impossible to fight against. some cool stuff for sure especially the costume design. Its too bad the Cassandra Cain Batgirl has ended its run with issue #73, as I could see this character on the big screen.

Work has been a drag this week, adjusting to having to wear outside clothes as well as working..lol.
The weekend is coming up and I plan on full lazy mode, I also plan on hitting Batman Arkham Asylum for the PS3. I finished Uncharted..man what cool game, and am currently playing InFamous…another cool game. Well back to work I guess. I managed to whip up some Hungarian Salami wraps..and they are calling my name right now.

After 12 or so days of the couple of weeks off, I have returned to my job this morning…I am used to having quantities of food by this time of the morning, I have already eaten my lunch already and may starve to death before I get home. I do miss lounging around in my PJ’s and housecoat, playing the PS3 and surfing the web all damn day, yeah because I could. Now I am faced with a workload that would choke a goat…dammit all to hell. If I make it out alive, I willnot have another vacation till at least March….oh the horror.

Howdy folks…Happy New Year. yes I made it through the holidays relatively unscathed, albeit a little heavier from all the awesome food. Lots of scifi was watched as Space the Canadian scifi station ran the 12 days of Xmas with daily marathons, from Star Wars, Star Trek to Superheroes etc….
Burning through games on the PS3 with the latest being Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, which is fantastic to play ( gonna grab Uncharted 2 this week)
I hope to run some stuff I completed over the holidays for the site, but be patient as I slacked off over my time off and have tons of stuff to do around the house, and heading back to work on Monday the 4th.

The new Iron Man 2 trailer dropped yesterday, and from what I have seen so far…..WAR MACHINE! it’s looking cool. My only gripe is that I hope it doesnt suffer from character overload like Spiderman 3.
Avatar starts tonight at midnight, I hope to see that one this weekend and hopefully it lives up to the hype. Been playing Batman Arkham Asylum and Burnout Paradise on the PS3…..very cool, cant believe I waited this long to pick up a PS3.
Hopefully I can get next week off as I still have 4 weeks vacation to get in before the end of the year or I lose them ( The office is closed from the 24th to the 4th of January anyway) but it would still be good to have the extra time off to play around the house, did I mention eat tons of food as well?
The holidays for some reason always has me watching tons of scifi as SPACE has mutitudes of marathons all the holiday season long for my viewing pleasure.
I also plan on doing some site stuff for Digital Burn as well.

Since I snagged a PS3, all net stuff has abrubtly stopped for now lol.
I was reading some sci fi news at work and came across 2 interseting tidbits. Sanctuary has been renewed for season 3 as well as SGU for season 2, great news! Sanctuary on Friday was decent and even starred Michael Shanks from SG1 as Jimmy an abnormal, and the last episode I caught of SGU was pretty good as well….the ending was anyway….cant wait for the mid-season break to end to see what happens. What the hell is up with these mid-season breaks anyway?
My holidays are coming soon and I will be online a bit more as I still want to revamp the site now that the burning of backups is officially dead.
